Anita’s life mission is living and cultivating a life of balance in serving others. The fabric that makes up Anita’s Yoga and Lifestyle teaching has been infused by the magic of her birthplace, Mysore, India. Swamini Srividyananda her spiritual teacher is not only her birth mother but her on-going mentor.
Anita’s passion for Ayurveda and Yoga weaves an alchemical blend – a trinity of Yoga, Breath and Sound melting into Beauty, Rasa and Stillness. Her foundation began in the Iyengar tradition and has been layered with the wisdom of Ayurveda, in studying with masters including Dr. Vasant Lad, and Mas Vidal, founder of Dancing Shiva Yoga and Ayurveda.
Anita believes that food is medicine, which has inspired her to study with Amadea Morningstar and Wise Earth School. Anita revels in cooking with consciousness and giving others the gift of daily lifestyle rituals.
Anita is presently learning to play the harmonium to weave in the essence of sound with yoga. To experience her classes is to immerse oneself in the nourishing elixir of life and taste the magic of self-transformation.
“I get real joy from helping people experience their true divine self, their light, and witness aha moments. I believe when you fulfill your purpose with meaning it gives you that electrifying juice ( Rasa) and the essential inner-connection with the divine (Bhava). The Essence of Self which is RasaBhava.”
Weekly Yoga with Anita in Long Beach

3141 E. Broadway Long Beach, CA 90804 Directions & Studio Link
In this sacred space illuminated by candle-light we cultivate prana thru asanas that are held a little longer with focused breath, to bring Rasa(juice) back into the body. Sound is a medium that vibrates in our cellular body awakening Shakti, allowing the river to flow. Music from my harmonium, bowls or our collective voices will ignite this practice. All levels are welcome to dive into this fluid reality…Om Shanti
